The Position
Private family seeking a dependable couple for light year-round property caretaking on a historic farm in northern Piedmont region, NC. Compensation is provided in the form of rent-free housing plus a monthly stipend.
Duties
Post-storm building checks, seasonal outdoor plant watering, debris cleanup, general property oversight when owners are away. Estimated time commitment is a few hours per week. No livestock. No heavy equipment. No agricultural experience required.
Housing
Renovated three-bedroom, one-bath cottage on the property. Heating and cooling. Move-in ready. Rental market value approximately $650-$700/month. Tenant responsible for utilities.
Additional Compensation
$250 per month stipend.
Ideal Candidate
Dependable working couple, fifties or sixties preferred, no children at home. Outside full-time employment welcome and expected. Must be hands-on, observant, and take genuine pride in caring for a property. Stable housing history and verifiable references required.
