Seeking dependable, experienced part-time ranch hand to assist with animal care and property maintenance on a privately owned, 10-acre rural ranch near Crescent, Iowa. Prior horse handling experience and English-speaking required. Must have valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation. Must value and demonstrate professionalism, reliability, integrity and high-quality animal care. Alcohol and drug-free facility. Background check required prior to hire.

Duties Include:

Horse care for ~7 Horses (incl. feeding/watering, stall/paddock/arena maintenance, basic handling)
Chicken care for ~8-12 chickens (incl. feeding/watering, coop upkeep, egg collection)
Groundskeeping & general ranch upkeep (incl. fence checks/repair, mowing/trimming, snow removal, errands & general property maintenance)

Must be comfortable working independently/responsibly with animals and physically capable of performing outdoor ranch work in varied weather conditions.

Job Benefits:

Separate housing quarters may be available for the right candidate. 928 SF living area. Split-level barndominium. Fully furnished.

1 brm, 1 1/2 bath, lvg rm, kitchen, washer/dryer.

If housing is provided, responsibilities include:

– Residing on the premises

– Housekeeping/maintenance

– Daily care/supervision of 1 dog & 1 cat

** If provided, will be considered part of compensation pkg.

Housing availability is contingent upon candidate qualifications, background screening, and mutual agreement.
