Western Nevada Cattle Feeders
Western Nevada Cattle Feeders in Lovelock, Nevada is an 8,000 head feed yard looking for a full time Pen Rider. We are hoping to find a self motivated individual who works well by themselves and with a crew.
Responsibilities Include:
- Riding Pens
- Identifying and doctoring sick cattle
- Shipping and Receiving
- Processing/Handling Cattle
- Sorting Cattle
- General Feedlot Maintenance
- Record keeping
Ideal Candidate:
- Positive & jovial
- Ability to work well in a “crew” setting
- Ability to shoe your own horses
- Knowledge of different bovine ailments
- Knowledge of antibiotics
- Knowledge of equipment i.e. skid steer, front end loader, water truck, dump truck.
- Roping skills
Three company horses are provided & we are willing to accommodate two – three personal horses as long as they are using horses … NO yearlings, broodmares or studs. Feed and farrier will be covered for horses used in feedlot setting (reimbursement if you shoe your own).
There is a small two bedroom, one bathroom house available. (Not suitable for large family)
Hourly pay based on experience. Insurance, retirement package & cell phone allowance provided after three months of employment.
Town is located 5 minutes from the operation and has a great K-12 school. This is a family friendly operation.
