My names Jake, I’m 20 and looking for the opportunity to work full time or seasonally at a ranch with potential housing provided based on salary level. I’m pursuing this type of job because I’m in need of change of day to day life. What that means is that I’m looking for hard rewarding work while still being involved in the outdoors.
I’m looking for the opportunity for this to happen in either Montana or Wyoming due to the limited options of where i lived in Pennsylvania. I am as well looking for the opportunity in my free time from working to take my outdoor hobbies to the next level, like hunting and fishing.
My entire life i have worked outdoors, getting dirty, and working very long hours. My work experience includes construction of almost all kinds and landscaping. Currently i am employed on a roadcrew for a local township where i generally work in road repairs and plowing. I have a class A manual CDL and i can run skid steers, tractors, and backhoes with efficiency. On top of that i can drive with confidence in about any terrain in any vehicle/equipment.
I can stick or mig weld and have enough mechanical knowledge to be dangerous. Although i do not have any experience working with livestock or riding horses i am a very quick and through learner. As well i believe i have certain attributes to myself that would allow me to adapt to this different environment and type of work. These attributes include problem solving, communication, being a physically fit person and attention to detail.
My ideal place of work would consist of having some time after all work duties have finished having the ability to hunt or fish close by or on property. Though i know not everyone gets what they want this would not be a deal breaker if not available. I have an updated resume for any interest parties.
