We are ideally seeking a cow calf operation in which we would also have an opportunity to start and train young horses. However we are open to a variety of different ranch work. We have both started colts, have experience on young horses. We also have experience putting up hay, operating equipment and working cattle. We are not married but have worked and lived together and would like to continue to do so.
Heather has trained horses under several notable trainers including Josh Lions and Ken McNabb. She will do it all from starting colts to fine arena work. She is looking to further her career but very much enjoys the challenges of a working ranch and the cattle work involved.
Ian is a former oil field worker gone ranch hand. I grew up around horses and have experience starting colts. I have no objections to riding young horses. I have a good understanding of mechanics and working cows. I have leadership experience and a desire to learn.
We are a young self motivated couple looking for a chance. What we lack in knowledge we will make up for in try. We just feel that we have learned all we can on the ranch we are on and are looking to expand our knowledge as well as see more country.
