Gary & Lynelle
We are looking for a job on a recreational/hunting ranch, resort ranch or dude ranch as a caretaker, property management, cook or any other position you might have available as we have experience and knowledge in almost every aspect of the business.
Gary has over 25 years’ experience as a general contractor, building new homes and home improvements. Gary is a bricklayer/stone mason by trade but can do most everything to do with construction, from concrete to framing, to flooring, to finish carpentry. He also has 15 years’ experience as a guide and cook for 2 hunting outfitters in Nebraska and Montana. Gary is used to long hours, demanding clients, busy schedules with no days off, and bad weather. He is a hardworking get it done no matter what it takes, no excuses kind of guy and will work for your outfit like he would his own. There is no job beneath him and there is no job he can’t do or learn to do. Gary has a little experience with back country cooking and hunting, but most of his cooking experience has been in the lodge and at his restaurant where he prepared all of the meals and did lots of catering of up to 150 people. Gary currently holds a Serve Safe Certificate from the state of Montana, good through January of 2024. He has some experience working cattle, such as moving, sorting, branding, and vaccinating, but is willing to do and learn more. Gary is very capable of working alone, but able to work with, and manage others as well. He is very much a self-starter and when he sees something that needs to be done, he does it. Gary is very experienced at scheduling, planning, ordering, and purchasing, as well as inventory management and event planning/management. Gary has held CPR and First Aid certification in the past and can renew if necessary.
Lynelle grew up on a farm; cattle, (beef/dairy) and grain, in ND, and has done all kinds of jobs throughout her lifetime from construction/pipe laying to bookkeeping and various jobs in between. She can operate machinery; manage the books, or help pack out wild game. She is proficient in Microsoft Works, Excel and QuickBooks. She has helped Gary with many projects such as roofing, siding, painting, bathroom renovation, cooking and catering. Lynelle has significant bookkeeping and management experience. She is familiar with the hard work needed to make a successful business run. Lynelle has also held a Chemical Applicators and Serve Safe certification in the past and can renew if necessary.
Together we make a great team. We feel that we could be a great asset to your outfit as we have done almost every aspect of the outfitting and guest ranch business. Our customer service capabilities and eye for detail are top notch and we also work very well under pressure to get the job done and resolve problems quickly and efficiently if need be.
