Hi, my name is Carson W. I am 25 years old and currently located in South Texas. I am looking for a full-time or seasonal ranch hand position beginning in early September. I am taking care of my current obligations through the end of August, so this is a planned career move rather than an immediate employment need.

I am willing to relocate anywhere for the right opportunity. I have reliable transportation, a living-quarters trailer, a clean driving record, and no criminal history. I would prefer housing if available, but reliable hookups and a place to park my trailer would also work. I have two house-trained dogs that are not working dogs. They have never shown aggression toward livestock and can remain contained when necessary.

I previously worked at Rafter R Ranch in Abilene, Texas, for Ray Brazzel as an all-around ranch hand. My responsibilities included feeding, fence work, general cattle handling, equipment operation, water-system maintenance, and other day-to-day ranch duties.

I have experience operating skid steers, wheel loaders, telehandlers, excavators, dozers, tractor-trailers, farm tractors, forklifts, and many other types of equipment. I am mechanically inclined, can weld, learn quickly, and am comfortable troubleshooting problems and handling general repairs and maintenance. I am also comfortable working independently and living or working in remote locations.

Most of my professional background has been in the oil and gas industry, outside sales, equipment-related work, and management. I have spent much of my career working long hours in physically demanding and labor-intensive positions. That is the type of environment where I have performed best. I am accustomed to early mornings, long days, difficult conditions, and completing the job regardless of the weather.

I have worked through the extreme heat of South Texas as well as the cold and harsh winter conditions of North Dakota. I understand what it takes to work safely and remain productive in both hot and cold climates. I am not looking at ranching as an easy or simple job. I understand that it requires commitment, patience, responsibility, and the willingness to work when the conditions are uncomfortable.

My long-term goal is to build a career in the cattle and ranching industry. I especially want to improve my horsemanship, stockmanship, cattle-handling abilities, and overall knowledge of ranch operations. My experience with horses is limited, and I still have much to learn about cattle, but I am honest about my current experience and willing to start wherever I am needed.

I am looking for an operation where I can contribute immediately through my equipment, mechanical, maintenance, and general labor experience while learning from experienced cattlemen and horsemen. I want to become a capable, dependable, and valuable part of an operation. I am not looking for a position just so I can say that I work on a ranch. This is the lifestyle and career path I genuinely want to pursue.

I take pride in being dependable, hardworking, mechanically capable, and willing to do whatever the day requires. I understand that ranch work can involve long hours, repetitive chores, bad weather, breakdowns, emergencies, and physically difficult work. That is not something I am trying to avoid. It is the type of work and lifestyle in which I have the most experience and have always performed well.
