Experienced family of three looking for a ranch position in western Montana, preferably around Elmo/Hot Springs/Plains. Experience calving, tagging, branding, shipping, running/fixing old equipment, all the things.
I have my CDL and am a proficient rider and roper, can shoe and sawbuck pack. Katie is a proficient rider and packer and handles cattle quietly. Ira is 7. We are both quiet people and easy to be around. We have been around, working in Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Missouri, and Australia, and understand the right way to do things is arbitrary, and up to the outfit.
Moved up to Montana to be close to family, we have housing near Lakeside until May and are happy to commute through winter, after which we would need housing. Can bring our horses up from New Mexico or happy to use company horses or pickup/tractor for a feeding job.
