We are a dependable, experienced couple seeking a long-term, live-in caretaking position on a small family farm, homestead, or private estate. We are intentionally looking for a quieter stewardship role rather than a large or high-volume ranching operation.
Our strengths complement each other well:
- One partner brings over a decade of hands-on experience in ranch, farm, and property caretaking, including animal care, maintenance, repairs, heavy machinery, fencing, and problem-solving.
- The other partner is highly capable with daily animal care, organization, scheduling, communication, record-keeping, and administrative support, and is comfortable assisting with feeding routines, health checks, and general husbandry alongside hands-on work.
- Together, we are reliable, self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. We take pride in maintaining animals, property, and housing as if it were our own.
Experience includes:
- Daily animal care, feeding routines, health checks, and general husbandry
- Property and facility upkeep, groundskeeping, seasonal maintenance, and organization
- Respectful, privacy-minded caretaking for family-owned properties and private landowners
Housing & family details:
- On-site housing is required (single-family home, cottage, or guest house)
- We have 3 well-behaved dogs who were raised on ranches and around farm animals
- We have 3 indoor cats
- We have a 10-year-old child who attends school and is not only accustomed to but thrives in rural and farm environments
Our family is respectful, quiet, and well-adjusted to working properties. We understand boundaries, privacy, and the importance of maintaining a professional caretaker presence on-site.
Location preferences:
We are most interested in North Carolina and surrounding states (TN, VA, SC, GA), particularly wooded areas near water. That said, we are open to other locations if the property, housing, and long-term fit are right.
We are available to relocate within the next 4–6 weeks and are seeking a stable, long-term arrangement where trust, consistency, and stewardship are valued.
Salary Requirements:
$60,000–$80,000 annually + housing, negotiable based on responsibilities and property needs.
