Zach & Monica
Hey y’all!
Our names are Zach and Monica, and we are seeking an operation that packs for the hunting season. Together as a couple, we have several years under our belts guiding at various dude ranches and other operations in the Teton/Yellowstone area. We are looking to pivot our careers towards packing and get out into a hunt camp.
Monica (26) has over 20 years of horse experience, having grown up in the horse industry. During college I began working on ranches in the summers and after college transitioned to seasonal work full time. I have loved every minute of my time at dude ranches, but the last few years have been craving a change of pace and the ability to get into the backcountry and learn some new tricks of the trade. I won’t sit here and say I’m a bronc buster by any means, but I’m a savvy rider and get along well with horses and people. I pride myself on my work ethic, am detail oriented, and while I would be new to the packing side of this industry, I am more than aware of the demand this job will have and the type of hours that may be required of me. I have backpacking experience as well and love getting to work with my hands and spend time outside. Monica is WFR certified.
Zach (25) has one of the coolest backgrounds you could ask for-he’s one heck of a story teller too! Zach has spent the last 3 years working on ranches, and got his start riding out in Wyoming. However, Zach has spent most of his life working for and with the circus as a rigger, stagehand, and all around handyman. Zach is incredible with guests, has an unbelievable work ethic and the ability to keep morale high and a smile on his face. At a prior ranch job, he helped set up their hunt camp and while he has limited experience packing, but same as Monica, understands what this job entails and what would be required of him during hunting season. Zach is First Aid and CPR certified.
We have plenty of professional and personal references if needed. We can also provide professional and personal references as a couple as we understand there can be some hesitancy hiring couples. We can assure you we work well together and keep it professional.
Currently based in Dubois, WY but are more than willing to travel for a position. Our current contract ends the first week of September and we would be available immediately following our departure. Resumes available upon request!
