Hello! My name is Aimee, and I’m looking for a job that will get me back in the saddle.
I have 40 years of hands-on experience with horses and have personally owned over 100 head — and I can still name every single one!
Over the years, I’ve done everything from riding the backcountry to running barrels, cutting, roping, and everything in between. I love learning, I’m a hard worker, and I don’t quit. I take pride in being dependable, responsible, and someone whose word truly means something.
I’m open to any job that lets me ride — I’ll ride fences all day, push cattle, exercise, train, or start colts. You name it. I’ve handled stallions, raised a handful of broodmares each year, and even developed a low-stress halter-breaking method for foals that I’m pretty proud of.
I ran my own small ranch and cared for up to 30 head without any help. That meant learning to do everything myself — bucking hay, driving tractors, backing trailers, giving shots, dressing wounds, rasping hooves, and catching the hard-to-catch ones. If there’s something I haven’t done before, I’ll learn it — and learn it right.
I’m also mechanically inclined. I rebuilt the engine in my 4Runner on my own, regularly work on my tractor, and I’m never afraid to get my hands dirty.
I grew up in a hunting family and still hunt myself, so a position on a hunting ranch would be right up my alley as well.
I work well independently or as part of a team, and I stay calm in high-pressure situations — whether it’s during branding, foaling season, or when something breaks down in the middle of nowhere.
I’m available to start immediately and am willing to relocate for the right opportunity. I’m looking for a job that includes private housing (not shared), as I’ll be bringing my well-behaved border collie.
