My name is Josh, a Wyoming native originally from Cheyenne, currently in Texas, looking for a ranch job and a change of pace from municipal government and corporate-style work. I’ve spent nearly the last decade working in Parks & Rec, where long hours, physical work, problem-solving, public interaction, and wearing a lot of hats have all been part of the job. While I don’t come from a heavy ranching background, I’m adaptable, dependable, and not afraid of hard work or learning from the ground up.
Manual labor is no issue for me. I come from a strong fitness background, am used to staying active, and can handle physically demanding work. I’ll be attaching photos so folks can see I’m healthy, capable, and ready to work.
My background may be especially useful for dude ranches, guest operations, event support, recreation programming, hospitality, and general property/facility work. I’ve managed staff, coordinated events, handled customer-facing roles, and worked in fast-paced environments where reliability and work ethic matter. That said, I’m absolutely open to working on any kind of ranch and am more than willing to learn whatever is needed.
At this point in my life, I’m looking to step away from the rat race and get back to something more real. Closer to the land, closer to home, and closer to the kind of lifestyle that actually means something to me. I’d love the chance to work hard, be useful, and be part of a good operation.
Preferences:
Housing included preferred (it’s just me – no wife or kids.) Most interested in opportunities near(ish) Cheyenne, WY if possible, but open to positions in Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, and northern Colorado.
