Seeking work as an individual for him (or even couple’s positions for husband and wife). Currently we reside in southern Oregon but are looking for somewhere long term out of state to plant our roots (while still open to eastern OR). We are looking for an operation where we can fully utilize our valuable skills and become like family, not just another employee. As mentioned, we are seeking a minimum position for a single individual but if there is an opportunity for us to work as a couple, we would love to explore such.
Husband is a previous contractor, colt starter and cattle manager, wife is a veterinary technician with a ranching and equine background. We understand that most any job around cattle is never all horseback, yet we would prefer somewhere that would still allow us to keep our cowboying skill set and low stress handling. If you’re a “quad only” operation, we are not your fit.

- Calving & minimal preg checking experience

- Roping, doctoring (pasture and penned), branding, vaccinating

- BQA certified

We are honest, clean and reliable people. Our morals do not allow us to use any type of drug, smoking, or to abuse the use of alcohol. We strive to have our lifestyle represent a healthy example for others to follow. We do not celebrate any holidays so we will be available to fill in extra for those times of the year if needed. We tolerate “NO DRAMA”, if your operation revolves around such, again we will not be a good fit.
Currently, we have a handful of working horses (one of which is a very well-behaved stud and our biggest worker) who will need housing, a passel of working dogs who can be used if requested (they remain crated if not working) and 2 cats who will hunt all day every day wherever they’re at or can be left locked up as well. Hot fence comes with us to set up fencing for our livestock we just need the area. We are looking for somewhere that offers housing and utilities. Benefits and work vehicles are a bonus but not required. If our truck and trailer is to be used for work, pay will have to be discussed to accommodate.
While not set on a specific location, we would prefer to relocate to the northwestern states (ID, WY, MT and WA) but again are open to opportunity elsewhere if it’s the right fit. Ok with staying in Oregon if eastern. Please do not hesitate to inquire if you have a position! We are flexible on a timeline to relocate; we just ask for a reasonable heads up to make sure our current situation is arranged for departure appropriately.
