We are Mitchell and Brynn Wangsgard. We are 26 years old, and have been married for 8 years, together for 10. We have three wonderful kids: Wylee, 5, Claire, 3, and Wesley 18 months. All three of them love everything outdoors and farm related. We all love taking care of our animals and going to grandpas to help on the farm. Most people might think it is not the smartest option to leave our successful careers, but we have decided that what we really desire is the farm/ranch lifestyle. We believe that is the best place for a family to grow and learn together.

We live in northern Utah but are wanting to move, and especially interested in places with milder winters than we get here, but ultimately open to anywhere. Due to our desire to move and older siblings, taking over Mitchell’s dads’ dairy is not a very feasible option, and with the price of land and assets starting a farm or ranch is not feasible either. We would love the opportunity to assist and manage a ranch that we can care for as our own. Therefore, on property housing is preferred.

Mitchell was raised on a dairy farm. He grew up assisting in all aspects of the farm, which was not only milk production but forage for the cows as well. With an older brother already aligned to take over the dairy, Mitchell chose to pursue mechanical engineering. He has since received a bachelor’s degree and worked in the engineering industry for the last 4 years. Mitchell has only been graduated for 1.5 years and has already moved from a Mechanical Engineer I to a Mechanical Engineer II position. Engineering has been good, and he has learned a lot in his experience, but is wanting to get back into farming full time. He hopes to be able to utilize his engineering experience to be beneficial to a farm or ranch. He has also held leadership roles at his current company, at one point being team lead of an entire shift of 80 employees. He has received many accolades for being a great leader both by those he led and his supervisors. He is somewhat of a jack of all trades, he does all vehicle maintenance and repair, has experience with farm building construction and home remodels, was a certified welder right after high school, and is an excellent fabricator. If he doesn’t already know how to do something that needs done, he will find out how and get it done. All this stemmed from growing up on the farm.

Brynn was raised deeply involved with horses. From a young age she developed great riding skills and continued to grow and develop her knowledge and skills. During high school she had her first job milking cows and helped other farmers in her area with hauling hay and feeding animals. After high school Brynn attended beauty school and started her own business doing eyelash extensions. For the last 6 years her schedule has been fully booked all the time with both new and returning clients. Just recently Brynn and a friend started a piercing business together. She has been extremely successful in both business ventures due to her work ethic, attention to detail, and friendly personality. Since having kids Brynn hasn’t been as involved with horses as she used to and would love to get back into riding and training horses. She hopes to utilize her skills and yearning for continual improvement in a farm or ranch environment.

Thank you for your consideration. We are fast learners and along with our current skills we would bring an attitude to learn everything we need to as quickly as possible in order to perform the best that we can and exceed your expectations.
