My name is Sam, I have a strong background in ranch operations, property maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and construction, along with a life spent stewarding the land. I grew up working on cattle ranches in Wyoming, where I developed a solid understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities required to keep a ranch operating smoothly. My family has been raising registered black angus cattle since 1894.
My knowledge and skills include, but are not limited to: low stress cattle handling techniques, pasture breeding, AI, calving, record keeping, weening, doctoring animals, vaccination programs, maintain livestock waterers, feeding hay, minerals, salt, supplements, raising and training ranch horses, fencing and irrigation systems, maintaining roads and buildings, operating and servicing equipment, aerating, fertilizing, or reseeding hay fields, rotational grazing of pastures, care and upkeep on riparian areas, I have hands-on experience doing everything that a ranch or property requires, budgeting, expenses, researching, cost comparing, buying, selling, etc.
In addition to my ranch experience, I also have 10+ years of experience as a licensed wilderness and hunting guide. I have worked in the oil and gas industry managing service companies, as well as in construction operating and maintaining heavy equipment. These roles strengthened my ability to work independently or lead multiple work crews, solve problems in the field, and take responsibility for personnel, equipment, safety, and overall operations in demanding environments. My wife Jessica is very kind and friendly and has a passion for the outdoors and nature, with years of experience in lawn and garden care, hospitality, serving, animal care, cleaning and restocking services, and is also a registered nurse. Currently she is nursing two days a week and also does all the cleaning for a ranch with a residence, lodge, and multiple casitas two days a week.
We have two great kids Aspen is 6 and Angus is 5, they are funny yet respectful, they enjoy playing, spending time outside, caring for animals, and love to work with us and learn. they are homeschooling and we hope to continue that into the future.
We are a couple you can trust; we are honest, dependable, and hardworking. We are self-motivated and take pride in our work, to ensure that the land, equipment, and property are maintained to the highest standards. We approach every task with attention to detail and are committed to doing things the right way. We are both 41 years old and have been together for 9 years. We are professionals in every way; we will have your best interests in mind at all times.
