20+ Years Leading Cattle, Exotic Wildlife, Hunting & Hospitality Operations ~ U.S. Work Authorized ~ Available for Long-Term Placement
I am vastly experienced 41 year old ranch manager and former wildlife business owner with more than 20 years of hands-on leadership across cattle, African wildlife, hunting, hospitality, infrastructure, staff, and ranch finances. I have managed operations across multiple properties, including cattle programs totaling approximately 2,500–3,000 head, exotic wildlife herds with annual multi million $ turnover, a 3,900-acre wildlife and hunting property, and teams of up to 35 employees, expanding to 50 during peak seasons.
My family and I am based in Texas and authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. I am available for a long-term Ranch Manager or Ranch General Manager position and am willing to relocate for the right opportunity. I offer a practical, owner-minded approach to ranch leadership, combining strategic planning and financial oversight with direct involvement in daily field operations, livestock and wildlife management, staff supervision, infrastructure, guest services, and property maintenance.
My background includes:
• Cattle and livestock: I have managed cattle operations across six properties carrying approximately 2,500–3,000 head in cow-calf systems. My experience includes rotational grazing, supplemental feeding, livestock sales, and maintaining fences and water systems. I also have additional experience with sheep and pigs.
• African wildlife and exotic herds: I have extensive experience with breeding herds, animal selection, feeding, herd health, capture, transport, and live sales. I have been involved in the capture and handling of more than 6,000 animals using multiple capture methods.
• Horsemanship: I have practical experience riding, handling, and caring for horses, with an emphasis on safe handling and animal welfare.
• Hunting and guest operations: I have guided professionally since 2003. I owned and operated a hunting business and safari lodge, coordinating hunts, accommodation, meals, entertainment, and the overall guest experience for international clientele.
• Private clients and discretion: I have experience working with high-net-worth clients and providing attentive, personalized service. I understand the importance of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and protecting the privacy of clients, their families, guests, and business affairs.
• Infrastructure and equipment: I have hands-on experience with tractors, heavy equipment, welding, mechanical repairs, road construction and maintenance, high fencing, water systems, and general ranch improvements.
• People and business management: I have managed teams of up to 35 staff, increasing to 50 seasonally. I am experienced in budgeting, purchasing, payroll, contracts, livestock transactions, transport logistics, and contractor supervision.
I have owned and operated a 3,900-acre wildlife and hunting property, giving me a practical understanding of an owner’s priorities: healthy animals, maintained assets, accountable staff, controlled costs, privacy, and satisfied guests.
I am comfortable planning and supervising operations while remaining actively involved in daily fieldwork. I take responsibility, lead by example, and understand that successful ranch management requires both sound business judgment and practical ability. I am prepared to learn the specific regulations, systems, and practices of the operation I join.
I am authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and hold a valid Texas driver’s license.
My family and I are seeking a stable, long-term opportunity where I can contribute to the success of the ranch. Family housing on site would be a strong advantage. Compensation is negotiable based on responsibilities and the overall package.
