WHO WE ARE

We are Cheyenne and Christopher, a committed professional couple with 14 years together and a combined skill set that covers nearly every aspect of property management, ranch operations, and estate care. We are actively seeking a live-in caretaker or property management position and are prepared to relocate anywhere in the country. On-site housing is required as part of our compensation package.

We bring two fully complementary professionals under one roof. Christopher handles the physical land, structures, livestock, and mechanical systems. Cheyenne manages the administrative, operational, and logistical side. Together we function as a self-contained property management team.

We are a family. We have an 11-year-old daughter and three well-trained dogs who are calm, disciplined, and accustomed to ranch and estate environments.

CHRISTOPHER | RANCH & ESTATE OPERATIONS

Christopher has spent his career in hands-on land and estate management, with deep expertise in equine care, heavy equipment operation, construction, and preventative maintenance.

As Director of Maintenance at Hope Refuge Ranch, he oversaw all maintenance and security operations across a 160-acre rural estate, including monthly property inspections, work order management, fleet maintenance, compliance with government licensing, and emergency evacuation leadership.

Prior to that, he served as sole caretaker for a 14-horse Dutch Warmblood barn six days a week. His responsibilities covered the full scope of equine care including feeding, grooming, hoof care, turnout, stall management, and tack care. He operated tractors, manure spreaders, skid steers, mini excavators, a pettibone, and a box scraper, and maintained riding trails, lighting systems, ponds, waterfalls, roads, and buildings. He also acquired burn permits and managed controlled burns on the property.

As a Maintenance Engineer with The Management Trust, he managed multi-property work orders across Santa Barbara County using CMMS, with a strong record for documentation and task prioritization. Since then, he has operated as a self-employed general contractor handling full-scope residential and commercial construction including framing, concrete, flooring, drywall, painting, electrical, and plumbing.

His skills include equine and livestock care, heavy equipment operation, fire mitigation and controlled burns, preventative maintenance, fleet management, construction trades, and maintenance management systems. He holds a CPR/AED certification and a valid driver’s license, and has an educational background in Agricultural Biology, Agricultural Mechanics, and Horticulture.

CHEYENNE | OPERATIONS, ADMINISTRATION & PROPERTY SUPPORT

Cheyenne brings professional-grade organizational and operational skills that keep a property running smoothly behind the scenes, from financial records and vendor management to inventory, scheduling, and staff coordination.

She currently works as an Accounts Payable Specialist at New Frontiers Market, managing invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, payroll through PayCor, daily deposits, and month-end close activities. Previously, as Site Supervisor at Aptitude Diagnostics Laboratory, she hired and trained staff, developed SOPs, managed inventory, and ensured strict compliance with safety protocols.

Her background also includes time at Lemos Feed and Pet Supply, where she worked directly in a farm and feed environment handling inventory receiving, floor organization, and product recommendations. She spent six years as Manager and Key Holder at Heidelberg Inn, overseeing scheduling, staff, inventory, customer relations, and daily cross-departmental operations.

Cheyenne is a published, award-winning author who earned Dean’s List honors with a 3.8 GPA during her studies in Market Management. Her skills include bookkeeping and accounts payable, payroll processing, vendor management, inventory and reporting, SOP development, staff training, scheduling, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a live-in position with on-site housing included as part of a full compensation package. We are open to property caretaker, estate manager, and ranch operations roles, and we welcome and prefer positions that include farm and animal care. We are open to all regions and willing to relocate nationwide.

OUR FAMILY

We have been partners for 14 years and are deeply invested in finding a stable, long-term placement. Our 11-year-old daughter is respectful and accustomed to rural and working property environments. Our three dogs, Deet, Vinny, and Scout, are fully trained and well-behaved.

We understand that pets are a consideration and are happy to discuss our dogs openly with any prospective employer. They are a non-negotiable part of our family and have been successfully maintained across a variety of professional and residential environments.

WHY HIRE A COUPLE

A couple placement means two dedicated professionals with no gaps in coverage, no single points of failure, and a deeply motivated team with a shared stake in the success of your property. We are not looking for a short-term paycheck. We are looking for a home we can pour ourselves into and a property we can genuinely steward.
