My name is Jacob T., and I am looking for work on a cattle ranch in Alberta or British Columbia.
I am a 24 year old man in fit shape currently living in BC, and I am looking to move to Alberta (or BC). I will preface this by saying I do not have much experience ranching, but if you’re willing to give me a chance I will prove myself a hardworking and useful hand.
I grew up and have lived rural my whole life, i’ve moved around in BC and AB throughout the last 5 years following my work and have been a licensed aircraft mechanic (AME) during this time. I can do basic carpentry, welding, and can fix damn near anything with tires or tracks. I do have some limited experience around horses. I can drive tractors and have a class 5 license. I would prefer to have onsite housing available but it is not a dealbreaker. I do have a dog, a male husky that is trained, extremely friendly and is fine around horses and cattle.
Some of my personal traits are that I am hardworking, often pulling 20 hour days in my current job, honest, attentive, independent and able to work well under stress. I am a quick learner and more than willing to take initiative.
After spending the last few years in a “regular” job i’ve come to realize that this life isnt for me and I am looking for a change so that I can learn cattle, horses and ranching.
