Married couple (can be work for both or just one) looking for a ranching outfit. Looking for something reliable and steady. Not looking for a cowboying outfit. Remote is perfectly fine. Currently overseeing a division of a large working ranch. Have teenage children that homeschool. Would need at least a 3-bdrm home. Have experience running just about everything, able and particular about maintenance and upkeep of equipment. BQA certified and prefer ranches that also adhere to low-stress handling. If you don’t practice calm, low-stress handling with your cattle don’t reply. Not looking for a cowboying outfit, I do not ride horses. My wife does ride and steps in for that portion if needed. I prefer ATV/UTV. I’ve done calving, haying, doctoring, pre-conditioning, winter feeding, branding, irrigation, and extensive knowledge in water lines and repair, infrastructure, etc. I’m mechanically inclined and can weld also. I work well in a team or solo.
My wife has years of clerical (bookkeeping, secretary, receptionist) experience, as well as, customer service experience. Also has experience handling cattle, doctoring, branding, feeding, etc. She is also BQA certified. Our children are also very active in helping and being involved.
I am looking for a family-friendly outfit, open to a caretaker/management position also. No drugs, drinking, smoking, nonsense, good communication. Valid driver’s license, clean background check. One with housing for a large family (3-bdrm at least), ok with pets and personal horses (1). If you want an employee who will treat your ranch like his own, give me a shout. We are looking for long-term and permanent. Prefer to stay in the Idaho/Montana/Wyoming/ South Dakota area but will look at other states in the area.
