Hello, I’m a 27 year old married man, with a child on the way looking for a change in lifestyle. For the past 5 years I’ve lived abroad working in Early Childhood Education and Adult Education teaching English as a second language. For the most part I have been an elementary school teacher after graduating College with a degree in Legal Studies.

I would love to work or intern on a farm or ranch, or with a hunting outfit, and am open to going pretty much anywhere as long as my wife, child and dog are able to be housed or find housing nearby. I look at this as a learning opportunity that should hopefully lead to career advancement or to a permanent job within the field. My aims are to learn, do a good job and repay anyone kind enough to give me the opportunity with honest work.

I am a hard worker, fast learner, love the outdoors and animals, I don’t drink, smoke or anything of the sort and neither does my wife. After living abroad I think I can adapt pretty quick to different environments and lifestyles. I don’t have much experience but I’ve driven yaks on horseback a couple of times with nomads in the Tibetan part of China, can ride horses confidently, train a working line German Shepard pup for tracking, obedience and protection, and he does fine around horses, and yaks as he has been around them sometimes since he was several months old.

Starting in 2020 my wife and I started learning to ride horses and about horse care, so that I could start to try to get a job on a ranch at some point. I also took it upon myself to read about grass fed cattle management, rotational grazing, beef cattle feeding and nutrition , selecting and judging breeding stock (for beef and dairy cattle), and horse nutrition and training (for working horses), but I don’t have any real life experience with managing cattle.

I’m not afraid of the elements, and I love to push myself, the past 5 years my hobbies have revolved around competitive sport. Currently I powerlift competitively in the 220lb weight class and plan to deadlift 600lbs or so in the next competition, so I am in good health and can lift/move pretty heavy objects if needed for packing, loading/unloading vehicles etc. I also enjoy hunting with a compound bow, but as of now have only gone duck hunting.

Willing to Relocate: Texas, Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon
