Ranch Caretaker Couple Seeking Private Family Ranch Position

We are a dedicated ranch couple seeking a long-term opportunity to steward and manage a private family ranch. Ranch life is not just work for us — it is the rhythm we know, the environment where we are most capable, and the setting where we have built our life together.

With over two decades of combined experience in Western ranch operations, land stewardship, hospitality, and service leadership, we offer a steady, well-balanced partnership rooted in hard work, discretion, and pride in maintaining a property to the highest standard.

We are currently employed and respectfully request confidentiality in all inquiries.

Husband has spent more than 20 years working on large Colorado ranch properties, serving in a ranch foreman capacity with broad oversight of infrastructure and daily operations. His focus is the land and the systems that keep a ranch running smoothly — irrigation and water management, hay production, roads and fencing, equipment maintenance and repair, welding, carpentry, and long-term planning.

He has also played a key role in supporting ranch hunting programs, preparing properties for season, maintaining wildlife habitat, coordinating access, assisting visiting sportsmen, and working alongside outfitters and seasonal crews. With a background in wildlife enforcement and land management, he brings a thoughtful approach to conservation, safety, and responsible stewardship.

While experienced around horses and livestock operations, his primary responsibility has centered on overall ranch infrastructure and operational oversight rather than serving as the primary wrangler or herd manager.

Wife brings a complementary background in high-end hospitality, private estate services, and business ownership. She has managed housekeeping and dining operations on a respected Western guest ranch and now operates a professional cleaning and organizational services company serving ranch and estate clients.

She is also a licensed Registered Nurse, offering an added layer of safety presence and preparedness — particularly meaningful in remote environments or when families and guests are in residence. She brings calm leadership, strong organizational skills, and a natural attentiveness to detail.

Her strengths include:

  • Estate-level housekeeping and presentation

  • Vendor and inventory management

  • Seasonal opening and closing preparation

  • Administrative organization

  • Staff coordination and service standards

  • Emergency preparedness and measured response

Together, we understand the unique dynamic of a private family ranch — balancing independence with communication, initiative with respect, and professionalism with approachability. We take pride in anticipating needs, caring for property thoughtfully, and creating an environment where owners and guests can arrive knowing everything is handled.

We are seeking a stable, long-term position where we can invest ourselves fully in the stewardship of one property — maintaining the land, facilities, and overall operation with integrity and reliability.
