Hello,
We are a couple from Northwest Ohio who have been together for eight years. We share a love for animals, agriculture, and the outdoors, and for several years we have been hoping to find the right opportunity to relocate and build a life more closely connected to the land.
We have a five-year-old daughter who already shares our passion for farming, livestock, and outdoor life. She loves helping with chores, being around animals, and spending time outside. Raising her with an appreciation for hard work, responsibility, and the natural world is incredibly important to us, and we are looking for a place where those values are a way of life.
Our current home reflects that lifestyle. While modest in size, our little home farm keeps us busy and happy. We care for a horse, chickens, ducks, two dogs—a corgi and a standard poodle—a pet cockatiel, and even a pet rat. Daily animal care is simply part of who we are. Aside from the animals we love to garden and can. Our goal has been to become more self sufficient. While not pros at this we continue to research and learn everyday to become better. We enjoy the routine, responsibility, and satisfaction that come with caring for animals and maintaining a homestead.
We aren’t looking for a temporary adventure—we are looking for a place where we can put down roots, contribute meaningfully, continue learning, and become part of a community. We value self-sufficiency, hard work, and the connection that comes from living close to the land.
At 26 years old, I have spent most of my life working with and caring for animals. My passion for animals began early, and I have been riding horses since I was 9 years old. Growing up, I was actively involved in 4-H, where I developed valuable skills in animal care, responsibility, and leadership.
My dedication to animal health and welfare led me to attend a vocational school for Veterinary Assisting, where I gained hands-on experience and foundational veterinary knowledge. I further expanded my education by completing college coursework in Veterinary Technology. With a lifelong background around animals and formal training in veterinary care, I bring both practical experience and a deep commitment to animal well-being.
At 28 years old, my fiancé has built a life rooted in hard work, agriculture, and the outdoors. Growing up around animals and grain farming, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for rural life from an early age. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience working on machinery, operating sprayers, and managing a feed mill, demonstrating both technical skill and leadership in agricultural operations.
Outside of work, he is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys hunting and competitive shooting. His dedication to hunting goes beyond recreation—he takes pride in harvesting and processing meat that helps provide for our family throughout the year. He is dependable, knowledgeable, and committed to the values of self-sufficiency, responsibility, and stewardship of the land. His strong character, determination, and willingness to work hard make him someone I greatly admire and respect.
