Ranch Management Duo
ISO: Ranch Management/Renovation/Caretaking Opportunity. We are flexible and will consider employment opportunities which would match and utilize our combination of ranch and renovation skills, either with or without livestock.
We are a two generation team, parent and adult son, with no other dependents. We are lifelong ranchers originally from the Nebraska Sandhills, currently living near Marietta, Oklahoma. My father managed a large, 1000+ cows, historic ranch for over 40 years for absentee owners. We were raised with a sense of responsibility for the ranch, even though it was not our own, and cared for the land, cattle and improvements as if they were. We would like to bring those qualities to another ranch property, either short or long term, depending on the situation.
Besides the ranch skills expected from people with our background, cattle care, fencing and haying, both of us expanded our education. I completed a BA in Biology with a minor in Agriculture, worked for the Farm Service Agency, a mixed animal veterinary clinic, and a veterinary diagnostic lab. Tyler completed two years at Meridian Technology in Stillwater, Oklahoma in construction trades, specializing in masonry, and currently works as a talented brick/stone mason and a concrete finisher.
We have owned and renovated several properties, and have a layman’s ability to repair minor plumbing, electrical, Sheetrock and building problems. We have utilized a trencher to install waterlines and hydrants, as well as electrical conduit.
I have extensive horse experience, riding, competing in barrel racing, and raising quarter horses targeted for ranch and rodeo events. Tyler is a competent ranch roper and competed in calf roping to a limited extent and was involved in the day to day work required by a large cattle ranch, including work sharing with neighboring ranchers who valued his work ethic an congenial personality.
We do have our own skid steer and attachments we use for fencing and cleanup, plus a small flatbed and our own building tools.
If you are looking for a responsible, careful small team that is going to care for your property and/or livestock like you would, and you don’t have to worry about them tearing up your equipment or stealing your stuff, we would like to hear from you.
Since we do contract work, even if your project isn’t imminent, contact us so we can keep in touch. We have local, long term references. Compensation offered can be calculated for the team, as opposed to each individual. We are willing to travel to additional states besides the ones listed.
