My career in managing ranches has demanded that I learn a wide breadth of knowledge and skills. I enjoy surmounting challenges and delivering results. I have worked on ranches in excess of 3,000 acres (not including leases of up to 75,000 acres), ranches in the southwest desert, ranches in the Rockies at 8,600′ elevation, ranches that earn money, and ranches owned by remote high net worth individuals. The requisites asked of me on the job have been as diverse as planting and irrigating to improve wildlife habitat, providing hospitality to owners and guests, working with contractors, hiring ranch hands, planning infrastructure upgrades, exercising and caring for horses, gardening, cooking, working with adjacent landowners as well as county and state agencies, forestry, heavy equipment operation, building and equipment maintenance, safety and security, and much more. I have a wide skill set to cover as many bases as are asked, and I am an adaptable and quick learner.
