This is Ryan S. from Houston Texas. I am looking to be a fifth generation farmer and cattle rancher. It is likely that my family operation in Houston won’t be able to be sustained through my lifetime because of development in the area. So I am looking to gain experience on a larger cattle operation, being that is what I plan on transitioning the family farm into eventually. If your operation is what I am looking for I am willing to work for free in order to gain experience.
I’ve had experience around livestock and agriculture my whole life and have been working full time on the family farm and ranch the last three summers. As well as being raised by a farmer and rancher and being around it my whole life, I have a strong work ethic and have experienced the hardships of this occupation.
My goal for this is to have an open mind and learn as much as I possibly can so that I’ll be successful starting my own cattle operation someday. If there is any skills that I would need to work on or learn prior I will come prepared, I have the resources to do so. I will be available to work full time starting early June and ending late July.
