I’m looking for an entry level farm/ranch hand position somewhere in the North West (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Colorado).
I’m tired of the corporate life and looking to return to a simpler, more fulfilling lifestyle where hard work is rewarded with sore muscles, worn out boots and a tangible sense of accomplishment.
I grew up in Upstate New York and worked on a dairy farm thru middle school and high school. I left that world to join the Air Force where I spent 8 years, mostly in Alaska. I’ve had a lot of jobs over the years including wildland forest fighter, fiber optic technician and, most recently, an IT Supervisor at a local hospital in Boise, Idaho. I’ve been at my current position for 11 years.
I do not have experience riding a horse, but can learn anything and do it well, with time. The ideal position would offer a reasonable wage, local transportation and housing, of some sort.
