I’ve been working as a horse trainer both full time and part time for over 30 years. For the majority of that time I have specialized in starting colts and putting a solid foundation on them, allowing them great versatility and ability to go any direction.
My cattle experience includes interning on the Rex Ranch in 2007 in Nebraska managing all aspects of a commercial cow/calf unit of 700 head. The ranch practiced regenerative land management and I developed a great interest and passion for taking care of the land. Since then I have managed my own small herd and done day work for a local ranch as a way to give my horses in training a job.
I have built and run several successful small businesses, both with and without employees. Working in hospitality, customer service, and agriculture. I know how to build and work with budgets, develop marketing strategies, scale growth, and lead a team. I believe in leading by example.
I’ve had extensive experience in farming, irrigation, haying, and fence building/ maintenance.
I have my CDL and can effectively operate a semi and heavy equipment, both farm and construction.
Looking for an opportunity to get to the next level in my career. I am married with a family, but I’m willing to relocate for the right opportunity.
