Hello there!
My name is Rebecca N., I am 23 years old – but don’t let that fool you!- I am dedicated and hardworking with a can do attitude and a desire to learn anything and everything. I have been involved in the agriculture and livestock community from a young age so I am no stranger to the realities of this lifestyle. I have acquired over five years of experience specifically in the wrangling and guiding aspect, as well as vet tech certification, several years apprenticing under different horse trainers using techniques associated with Patrick Wyse, Clinton Anderson, Ray Hunt, Monty Roberts, and Buck Brannaman, to create a well rounded – yet evergrowing- education on horsemanship.
Over the years I have worked on dude and guest ranches, cattle and bison ranches, horse training and breeding facilities, as well as managing boarding facilities. From the nitty gritty, fixing fences, mucking stalls, moving irrigation lines, tending to injuries, and so on, to starting colts, showing Percherons, gentling feral horses, and monitoring cattle in the rough backcountry.
While I do have experience, I also know that my knowledge is small in the grand scheme. I am very willing to learn and commit myself to the next operation I work for. While the majority of the ranch jobs I have taken in the past have been seasonal, I am now interested in finding the right fit for a year round, long term position where I can become not only an employee, but a committed partner. Housing is a necessity for me, but I am very willing to consider relocating almost anywhere. I have no indoor pets, non smoking, drug free, clean driving record, and no criminal history. I have CPR/First Aid /Wilderness Medicine certs I can renew as well. I do have a couple horses that I would prefer to bring with me, but potentially can find homes for if the perfect fit comes up that is unable to house them.
