Hi, I’m Isobella and I’ve currently had my working permit approved for Canada and I’m now in the exciting process of searching for a ranch job. One of my main reasons for coming to Canada, is to experience the horse culture and ranch lifestyle in comparison to my life here in Western Australia where I’ve been working in agriculture and riding horses. I’ve just finished two years working on a sheep and cattle station where I’ve had the pleasure of gaining experience in various areas, from fencing to mustering and much more which I have listed in my resume.

I’m extremely interested in a ranch hand position where I can offer my 2 years of station experience and also gain new skills. I’m also really interested in a Wrangler position as I have limited experience in cattle work on horse back and would love to learn as much as I possibly can.

Some of the skills and experience I’ve acquired:

(I’m more than happy to send my resume which contains a more detailed list and references)

  • I have experience working with sheep, goats and cattle as well as horses on the stations. I also have experience working with pigs and working with my own horses at home.
  • experience with water runs and repairs/ maintenance to animal waters.
  • experience with mig/stick welding – small power tools
  • experience with operating machinery
  • fencing experience
  • experience on motorbikes
  • medium rigid truck license
  • experience building yards

What I’m looking for:

I’m looking for a ranch that is happy to hire someone who has experience but is still learning. I’m looking to gain as much hands on experience with horse and cattle work as possible. Every farm operation does things totally different and that’s one reason I love working in agriculture, because you learn how to do one job ten different ways depending on who you’re working for and where. I’m looking to experience the Canadian ranching culture while extending my skill set and being a helpful asset to someone’s ranch.

I’m arriving in Canada at the end of March 2026 and I’m looking to start work as soon as possible. I’m looking to work for 6-7 months but I’m also happy to extend a few more months if required.
