Job Type

Description :

I am currently looking for either temporary or permanent farm/barn work in the western US, though I would consider positions on the East Coast/mid Atlantic as well for the right position.

I have around 12 years of horse experience and currently work as a barn helper at a school/show barn in Concord, Massachusetts. My riding experience has been mainly in eventing and hunter pace. My current work duties include feeding, mucking, turning in/out, tacking, basic first aid treatment. I have also worked as a server in the past and have good people skills and a positive/energetic demeanor.

I am looking for opportunities to learn more about all aspects of farm/barn/ranch management, especially raising cattle if possible. Although my background is in English (hunt seat) riding, I am interested in/open to learning to ride Western as well.

Really any position that allows me to learn more about horses/livestock is ideal for me, though I have very little interest in Dressage.

My preferred arrangement would be live-in with a private room, weekly pay rate, and riding time, negotiable.

Have Driver’s license. Previously CPR certified. Willing to move on short notice.

I recently (Nov. 2016) finished school and hold a BA and Masters degree. An image of my resume can also be found on the imgur link listed here for more information on my work history/specifics.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
