Putting out feelers for the 2024 season… If interested I would love to send a resume, videos or talk.

My name is Caitlin, I began riding horses at the age of 4, and started working at many different barns in my early teens. I now have almost 16 years of horse experience, including both western and english, LOTS of ground work training, lunging, and a bit of basic liberty training, and hundreds of hours trail riding in the Allegheny national forest and others places in and around north western PA. I have worked with horses of all ages, breeds, sizes and temperaments.

Along with my horse experience, I have also spent a bit of time in the customer service/ medical field. I currently work as a full time patient care technician in the emergency department of a Level II Hospital, where a majority of my job is making sure our patients are comfortable and content with their care, as well as assisting nurses and doctors provide life saving care to the critically ill and injured.
I also work part time as a nationally registered EMT at an EMS company, running both ALS and BLS calls, where I also provide life saving care. I am not a stranger to very serious and chaotic situations concerning human and equine emergencies. I have references who can attest to my ability to stay calm and confident when under pressure.

When I’m not working at the barn, hospital, or ambulance, I volunteer my time at a fire department, where we run about 1,000 911 calls per year (EMS, fire, and rescue). This year, I will be taking a firefighter course, a ropes rescue course, and finishing my water rescue series.

I believe I am a strong candidate because I am well rounded in my equine experience and knowledge, and I am trained and prepared to handle emergencies when they come my way. I am willing to relocate, I have my own vehicle, and currently do not have any animals or people that would be coming with me.

If interested in hiring me in 2024, please email me, I would love to talk!

***Due to the National Emergency Medical Technician Registry only being valid in certain states, I am currently only able to be certified in these states:
Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin.***

I would be willing to take additional education for non-listed states if it’s the right fit.
