We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Live-In Caretaker to join us in the Hudson Valley. This individual will live on-site and take pride in maintaining the smooth running of our property while providing daily care for our three miniature donkeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Animal Care: Feeding and general care of three miniature donkeys; monitoring their well-being and alerting owners/veterinarians if concerns arise.
• Property Oversight: Serving as the daily eyes and ears of the estate—monitoring utilities, reporting damage or malfunctions immediately, and ensuring the property is secure and well-kept.
• Vendor & Repair Support: Meeting service providers and repair specialists on-site, providing access, and ensuring work is completed properly.
• General Support: Handling light household assistance such as accepting packages and deliveries, being “on call” for small tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the home.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for animals, ideally with equine or farm animal background (miniature donkey care experience a plus).
• Comfortable living full-time on the property with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
• Handy and observant — able to notice and report property issues before they escalate.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and respectful of privacy.
