We are seeking a full-time Ranch Assistant for a privately owned family ranch near Fort Worth, Texas.  This is a second home and not a working ranch.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in their work and values honesty, integrity, respect and teamwork.  The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, work alongside the ranch manager and follow established ranch procedures while contributing positively to the overall operation of the property.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily feeding and care of horses
  • Cleaning stalls and maintaining barn areas
  • Mowing, weed eating, and general grounds maintenance
  • Assisting with repairs and ranch upkeep projects
  • Helping prepare for family and guest visits
  • Assisting with recreational activities such as horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, skeet shooting, and other outdoor activities
  • Helping ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests

The successful candidate should enjoy outdoor work, be self-motivated, and be comfortable interacting with family members and guests when needed.  Experience with heavy equipment; welding equipment; electrical systems; HVAC; and irrigation systems is a plus.  This position reports to the Ranch Manager.

Pay is based on experience.  Must live on property.  Nice, comfortable living accommodations are provided and suitable for a single resident or a small family.  If you are looking for a long-term opportunity in a beautiful ranch setting and take pride in maintaining a high quality property, we would love to hear from you.

Hiring Requirements:

  • Must be a legal U.S. citizen OR have valid working papers
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean DMV report

  • Must be able to pass an initial drug test/background check
