The Estate/Ranch Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operations of a private ranch. This role oversees property upkeep, contractor coordination, and land stewardship, while ensuring the estate operates efficiently and meets the owner’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
Property & Facilities Management
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all buildings, grounds, roads, and infrastructure.
- Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and improvement projects on machinery, tools, and fencing.
- Manage landscaping, irrigation systems, fencing, and pasture conditions.
- Ensure the property remains clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.
- Will operate a skid steer, tractor, and snow blower to remove snow from the grounds/driveways. Will mow grass as well.
Equipment & Vehicle Oversight
- Maintain ranch equipment such as tractors, ATVs, trailers, and tools.
- Schedule routine maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure proper use and storage of equipment.
Hospitality & Owner Support
- Prepare the ranch for owner visits and special events.
- Coordinate guest accommodation and ranch activities when required.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of ranch management or estate management experience.
- Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with ranch equipment.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to live on-site.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable operating machinery.
