Ranch: The Double Eagle Ranch is a private 1,000 acre high fence hunting and recreation ranch located northeast of Giddings, TX. The ranch is used as private family recreation, hunting, fishing and overall enjoyment. The ranch consists of improved genetics whitetail herd, multiple fishing ponds/lakes, full 5 stand skeet range, and long range rifle shooting. The ranch also cuts hay on a couple of fields as well as currently carrying about 25 cow/calf pairs. This is not a cattle operation.
Pre-Qualifications:
- Heavy Equipment operation and maintenance
- Ranch work experience
- Machinery maintenance and basic ranch maintenance are a must
(ex. Irrigation repairs, basic tractor/skid steer operations and repairs, pool maintenance, plumbing, electrical etc)
- Trustworthy
- Self-starter/Self-motivated
- Hospitality
- Lift over 50 pounds
- A jack of all trades
Job Description: As the foreman of Double Eagle Ranch, you will be responsible to execute the maintenance and general upkeep of the property, and work directly with the owners to achieve management goals for the property. A hard working and self motivated employee that can operate and maintain machinery, and take care of houses and the surrounding grounds. Be able to work alone and stay on task. Make sure everything is operable throughout the year and especially before guests arrive. Taking care of the grounds from the main entrance and around the main lodge are key. Deer herd management could also become a key part of this foreman role. The scope of work will include but not be limited to:
- Ranch grounds maintenance and upkeep
- Houses, swimming pool, gates, fencing etc
- Operate AND maintain heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- (Tractor, Skid Steer, etc.)
- Able to perform maintenance
- Knowledge of household systems such as plumbing and electric
- Full house keeping for all buildings
- Upkeep of feeders and blinds
- Repair fence and water gaps
- Upkeep of skeet machines
