We are seeking an exceptional caretaker who notices details, takes initiative, and enjoys caring for a beautiful property. This position is ideal for a couple or individual who values responsibility, self-sufficiency, and the hard work of caring for a special ranch.
This is more than a maintenance position—it’s an opportunity to become the trusted steward of a unique ranch. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, works independently, communicates well, and takes pride in maintaining a beautiful property.
Responsibilities include mowing, landscaping, organic weed control (no chemicals), fence repair, weeding, building and equipment maintenance, snow removal, arena dragging, pasture management, tree trimming, weed walking, cleaning, general ranch upkeep, and daily care of four horses, including recognizing signs of illness, injury, or colic.
A newly remodeled, furnished two-bedroom, two-bath home is provided on the property. The owner lives on-site but travels periodically, so the successful candidate must work independently while maintaining high standards with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Horse experience required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds and work outdoors year-round.
- Non-smoker/vaper; no drugs or excessive alcohol.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Honest, dependable, detail-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining a beautiful property.
Compensation & Benefits
- Furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath home in an outstanding school district.
- Utilities and Wi-Fi included.
- Compensation package valued at $45,000 – $55,000+ annually, depending on experience. Plus free housing.
- Six days per week of service. Sun-Fri
- 60-day probationary period.
