We are seeking an exceptional caretaker who notices details, takes initiative, and enjoys caring for a beautiful property. This position is ideal for an individual who values responsibility, self-sufficiency, and the hard work of caring for a ranch. Must be able to work independently and communicate well with owners.
Responsibilities include mowing, landscaping, weeding, (no chemicals), fence repair, tree trimming (from the ground), building and equipment maintenance, snow removal, arena dragging, pasture management, weed whacking, cleaning, general ranch upkeep, and daily care of three horses, including recognizing signs of illness, injury, or colic.
A furnished two-bedroom, two-bath home is provided on the property. The owners live on-site but travel periodically, so the successful candidate must work independently while maintaining high standards with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Horse experience required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds and work outdoors year-round.
- Non-smoker/vaper; no drugs; no excessive alcohol.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Honest, dependable, detail-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining a beautiful property.
Compensation & Benefits
- Furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath home.
- Utilities and Wi-Fi included.
- Compensation package at $22/hour plus free housing and utilities.
- Six days per week. Sun-Fri
- 60-day probationary period.
