Seeking a dependable, hardworking ranch hand to join our operation on a nearly 12,000-acre working ranch with approximately 400 head of cattle and a growing herd.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the ranching lifestyle and is willing to help wherever needed. While horseback work is part of the job, this is not a horseback-only position. Daily responsibilities will vary depending on the season and ranch needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Gathering, sorting, processing, and doctoring cattle
- Fence repair
- Equipment operation and basic maintenance
- Feeding livestock when necessary
- Property upkeep and general ranch maintenance
- Horseback work during cattle operations
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits:
- $40,000 Annual Salary
- $500/month health insurance stipend
- Ranch house provided
- Utilities paid
- Ranch vehicle provided for ranch use/ vehicle remains on property
Qualifications:
- Prior ranching and livestock experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience operating equipment is a plus
- Must be dependable, honest, and self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license
