Picturesque 230-acre ranch at the base of the wind river range. We are looking for a motivated, responsible person to join our team as a ranch hand. This position requires someone who is reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily upkeep of ranch grounds, pastures
- Assisting with large and small livestock (must be comfortable with large livestock with horns)
- Mucking stalls, maintaining a clean, organized barn
- Feeding/grooming/saddling/exercising horses when needed
- Vehicle cleaning/detailing/maintenance schedule
- Irrigation
- Assist with general ranch maintenance (construction/mechanic, general handyman ability)
- Landscape needs (mowing, weed eating, weed removal, spraying)
- Able to navigate ranch manager role when manager is away
- Must be comfortable calving/lambing, bottle feeding when necessary
- Must be comfortable driving a trailer with livestock
- Fence inspection and repair
- Must be able to operate a skid steer
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of tasks. Must like remote living and winters.
- Flood irrigation experience
- Ability to lift 80+lbs
- No smoking/drinking on the property
Looking for a long-term fit. This is not a horse back position.
