Property: 300-acre ranch with horses, longhorn cattle, deer
Duties:
- All aspects of horse care – exercising, feeding, grooming, training
- Overall health monitoring of all horses and tending to special needs of senior horses
- Coordinating and assisting with vet care and farrier visits
- Trailering horses to vet appointments
- Preparing horses and leading occasional trail rides
- Cleaning pastures and barns
- Mowing, trimming and assisting other ranch employees as needed
- Maintaining feed and supplies for horses, steers, deer and other ranch animals
- Administering worming programs for horses and steers
- Operating ranch equipment – tractors, mowers, drags, truck, trailers, etc.
- Running errands in town
- Schedule includes feeding horses and cattle every other weekend
