30,0000 acre cow/calf and yearling, family operated ranch in Eastern Montana. Job consists of daily operations of a working cattle ranch which includes haying, the use of horses and 4 wheelers and a branding table.
Must be versatile in general ranch skills: working cattle, feeding, fencing, farming, pivots, operating equipment and equipment maintenance. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
Must have a current drivers license and be able to provide references.
Competitive salary D.O.E.
Typically work 6 days a week and 1 day off, hours vary, there are some weeks you’ll work 7 days and others you’ll work less. The ranch has had long term employees! A good family working environment.
Housing is provided, includes utilities, work vehicle, grocery allowance, vacation and sick leave. Other benefits are negotiable.
Class C K-12 school is 3 miles away with the bus stop coming to door. There is a Mercantile, post office, fuel station and a bar/cafe in the small town of Melstone.
