Ranch hand needed for general ranch work on two ranches in Gonzales and Guadalupe counties. This position includes working on a large cow/calf operation using tractors and other ranch machinery, feeding cattle, and distributing round bales, fence repair and building new, general yard maintenance, assisting owner in working cattle, cleaning all work areas, including pens, stalls, shop and storage rooms. Welding skills, cattle knowledge and handling skills are a requirement.
We are looking for an individual that takes pride in his work, is neat and orderly, knows how to take care of equipment, tools, is a self-starter, and can work safely unsupervised.
Some weekend work will be required. Work is primarily outdoors. Dependability is a must. Applicant must have references and good work history. We are looking for a full-time ranch hand that is experienced in the qualities listed above. Compensation based on commensurate. Position includes benefits and house to live in. Non-smoker only. Must pass a background check.
