KLEINKNECHT CATTLE CO. LTD, Manyberries AB, CANADA, is seeking a reliable, motivated individual to hire full time, year round. We are primarily a cow/calf operation with dryland hay, some grain farming, grassed yearlings, and a wintertime feedlot. Located 75km south of Medicine Hat, AB.
Job duties: include (but are not limited to): livestock handling, care, and management, pasture checking and treating on horseback, calving, equipment operation (tractors, seeder, augers, baler, haybine, combine, etc.), fencing, general yard/shop maintenance, basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications and experience: Previous ranch and horseback riding/roping experience required. **MUST be proficient in pasture roping and doctoring** Own horses not required but preferred. Class 1 DL not required but an asset. Strong aptitude for and ability to work with livestock, knowledge in equipment operation with basic repairs and maintenance. Ability to work independently when necessary, able to work long hours during busy seasons (seeding, calving, haying, etc) when required.
Schedule and compensation: Full time, year round position, flexible schedule during slower seasons, longer hours and weekends required during busy seasons, competitive salary based on experience. Housing provided. WCB. No LMIA.
