Looking for a ranch hand for a family run cow/calf operation in rural Southeastern Montana. Candidate must be motivated and able to work in a team setting and on their own! We are located near a highway but 30 minutes from the closest town and about an hour from the nearest Wal Mart. Housing is provided. This is a single position with the opportunity for day labor for a spouse. We encourage couples to apply. We are family oriented operation.
The ranch runs about 450 head of mother cows and uses atvs for cattle work, this is NOT a cowboy position. Summers are spent haying so equipment experience is a must.
Duties will include: feeding cattle during the winter, calving out cattle, branding, cow work, fencing, haying, etc. Mechanical and welding experience is a plus. We do not use dogs on the ranch.
At this time we are looking for someone with cattle and equipment experience. Along with a competitive wage – Housing, utilities, cable and internet will be provided in a 3 bedroom / 1 bath trailer.
