McNamee Angus Ranch
We are looking for the right hired hand to join us full time. We are a family owned and operated cattle ranch south of Miles City, MT. We have a commercial cow herd, a registered cow herd and also raise and develop horses bred to be cow/rope/ranch horses.
We do all our cattle work horseback (no 4-wheelers). We’re looking for someone that knows horses and how to handle cattle horseback and who understands cattle and generally what makes a good cow. Duties include riding every day in the spring tagging and gathering birth info during calving, riding on cows and yearlings during the summer, starting colts, halter breaking babies, haying, fencing, feeding during the winter, etc. You will be working with a 65 year old man and a 40 year old woman a large portion of the time as we both still love this lifestyle. When able, many additional family members also participate.
Wages are competitive but depend on experience. We are not able to teach all aspects of this job, so please apply accordingly. Three bedroom, 2 bathroom house and utilities provided. We will also supply you with beef.
