Looking for a ranch hand/landscape maintenance person to live on-site at our 30 acre horse estate in TX. Work is 6 days a week and includes stall cleaning, manure management, small animal care, extensive landscape maintenance (mowing, weeding, weed eating, etc), field tractor mowing and maintenance, fenceline maintenance, equipment maintenance, small building repairs, building and property maintenance, etc. The property is located within a deed restricted community and has high standards for maintenance.
Salary also includes a 1-bedroom apartment with all utilities included as well as Satellite TV and High Speed Internet. Pets on a limited case-by-case basis. Apartment is in a separate building from the main barn. Pay is $1800/cash per month, with pay raises each year. (about 10%)
We are a family ranch with a laid-back atmosphere, located in the rolling hills of Montgomery, TX, just an hour north of Houston. We have 13 horses, chickens, rabbits, and 1 crazy toddler. Horse experience not required, but if you do have horse experience or desire to work more with the horses, we practice the vaquero/buckaroo method of natural horsemanship and are building a training program towards creating horses for a therapeutic riding program for PTSD and anxiety. You must be willing to work with our training methods and follow our guidelines when interacting with our animals.
