We’re looking for a dependable, hard working individual to live and work in a rural setting. If you enjoy physical work and take pride in maintaining property, herds and equipment, and are able to work independently, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Ranch & Livestock Support
- Feeding, watering, monitoring livestock.
- All seasonal activities including calving, branding and herd moves.
- Monitor and maintain water systems. troughs, pumps and related infrastructure.
Farm & Property Maintenance
- Install, repair and maintain fences.
- Perform general property maintenance, groundskeeping and cleanup.
- Working through seasonal activities such as haying, seeding, harvesting and other farm operations.
- Load, unload and move materials, supplies and equipment as required.
Equipment Operation
- Safe operation of tractors, skid steers, ATVs, mowers and other farm equipment.
- Routine inspections and basic maintenance.
- Reporting all equipment issues and repair requirements.
Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Report hazards, incidents and concerns promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures and policies.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
What will you need – Experience/Knowledge
- Experience in ranching, farming, fencing, landscaping, construction, general labour and equipment operation is an asset.
- Ability to operate equipment and power tools safely.
- Basic mechanical skills and livestock handling experience.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently with team support.
- Valid drivers license is required. Class 1A license is a definite asset.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push and pull 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Navigating uneven, muddy or rugged terrain.
- Performing repetitive tasks ( standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing ).
- Safely perform tasks around livestock, equipment and work sites.
- Must be able to work extended hours during peak agricultural and ranching seasons as required.
