We are a small privately-owned horse facility looking for a full time, live-in, responsible, hardworking, knowledgeable person to manage 18-acre property in Scottsdale, Arizona, available immediately.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Feeding horses 3 times a day, Currently 8 Horses
- Cleaning rebedding stalls and turnouts as needed
- Turning horses out, putting on walker, basic care
- Winter Blanketing
- Arena Maintenance
- Scheduling farrier, vets, manure pull services, truck trailer tractor repairs and services
- Purchasing feed, hay, parts, tools, equipment etc.
- Understanding basic mechanics/computer on well system
- Hiring/ Firing employees
- Pasture maintenance: seeding 2 times a year, irrigation management and limited repair
- Landscape drip irrigation repairs if possible
- Minor grading after storms
- Minor electrical, plumbing repairs if possible
Skills:
- Organized, Self-motivated, enjoy caring for horses
Requirements:
- Previous Ranch Management Experience REQUIRED
- Previous Horse Experience REQUIRED
- 21 Years of age
- Valid Driver’s License
