- Daily feeding, watering, checking health, doctoring mostly stocker cattle
- Processing new arrival cattle
- Checking and caring for run out cattle year around
- Fall weaning operations
- Gathering and moving livestock (with ATV – feed truck and possibly horseback)

- Some haying – no farming
- Building new fence/cattle facilities
