If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t mind early mornings, long days, and honest work, Legendary Akaushi Genetics has a place for you. We’re looking for a Ranch Hand who knows their way around livestock, equipment, and the everyday challenges that come with running a working ranch.
This isn’t a desk job. It’s hands-on, outdoors, and essential to keeping our operation strong. You’ll be part of a team committed to raising high‑quality Akaushi cattle and caring for the land we depend on.
What You’ll Do:
- Feed, water, and keep a close eye on cattle, horses, and other livestock
- Help with breeding, calving, and day‑to‑day animal care
- Repair and maintain fences, gates, barns, and ranch structures
- Run and maintain equipment—tractors, mowers, irrigation systems, and more
- Manage pastures through weed control, soil care, and water management
- Keep barns, pens, and work areas clean and safe
- Pitch in during planting, harvesting, haying, and other seasonal work
- Work side‑by‑side with ranch management to keep things running smoothly
What You Bring:
- Experience on a ranch or farm
- Ability to safely operate basic machinery and tools
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather
- Basic livestock handling and animal care knowledge
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience:
- Livestock breeding or vet‑assist background
- Irrigation or land management know‑how
- Safety or equipment certifications
- Understanding of sustainable ranching practices
- Horseback riding and livestock handling on horseback
